  17. This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
  18. for use with network management protocols in TCP/IP-based internets.
  19. In particular, it defines objects for managing the Packet Layer of
  20. X.25.  The objects defined here, along with the objects in the "SNMP
  21. MIB Extension for LAPB" and the "Definitions of Managed Objects for
  22. RS-232-like Hardware Devices", combine to allow management of an X.25
  23. protocol stack.  This RFC was produced by the X25mib Working Group of
  24. the IETF.

  26. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.

  28. This RFC specifies an IAB standards track protocol for the Internet
  29. community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements.
